About Council #12113
Since 1992, Boston-based LULAC Council #12113 has championed access to education and advancement opportunities for local Hispanic youth through various initiatives that build on community, skill development, academic growth, and community engagement through civic responsibility.
LULAC Sweetheart is the Council’s signature annual event that raises essential funds for college scholarships awarded to local Hispanic youth. With the help of generous supporters like you, LULAC Council #12113 has provided over $250,000 to Hispanic students.

Desde 1992, el Concilio #12113 de LULAC con sede en Boston ha defendido el acceso a la educación y las oportunidades de progreso para los jóvenes hispanos locales a través de varias iniciativas que se basan en la comunidad, el desarrollo de habilidades, el crecimiento académico y la participación comunitaria a través de la responsabilidad cívica.
LULAC Sweetheart es el evento anual característico del Concilio que recauda fondos para becas universitarias otorgadas a jóvenes hispanos que comienzan la Universidad. Con la ayuda de generosos colaboradores como usted, el Concilio #12113 ha proporcionado más de $250,000 a estudiantes hispanos.

La Liga de Ciudadanos Latino Americanos Unidos (LULAC) es la organización hispana más grande y antigua de los Estados Unidos. LULAC promueve la condición económica, el logro educativo, la influencia política, la vivienda, la salud y los derechos civiles de los hispano americanos a través de programas comunitarios que operan en más de 1,000 concilios de LULAC en todo el país, incluyendo a la Isla de Puerto Rico. La organización involucra y sirve a todos los grupos de nacionalidad hispana.

LULAC Sweetheart 2024 is LULAC Council #12113's signature annual event celebrating Latina leaders who are using their skills and talents to uplift Latino voices, commit to community engagement, demonstrate civic responsibility, and positively impact the communities they serve.
As we are celebrating 95 years of service, we are thrilled to share the City of Lawrence and Mayor Brian A. De Peña will be hosting this celebration! We are grateful for their support.

Our council has considered education to be its number one priority throughout the years. That’s why part of our mission is to empower our Latino youth through education.
Lack of available resources in high school, social capital, and college affordability are some of the top challenges for Latinos striving to get a degree. These hardships should never be a barrier to education.
